New Athlete Profile


Our athlete of the week is Ron.   He is a tri-athlete and is training at Crossfit Legacy to ensure that he is able to achieve his goals in the coming year.

Ron has a great attitude always give his best when he is here!!!

Wait...I thought you were going to do 20 min on the C2 Rower Yesterday?

Anyway, I digress.   He competes well in every workout and usually wins the largest sweat stain award.


Nickname: Multiple, but nothing usually sticks for long. Captain Ron because I'm usually pulling the family around on new adventures.

Occupation: Nurse Anesthetist

Words to live by: Work hard, play hard, sleep in between.

Favorite Book: Bible most read

Favorite Food: Steak

Favorite Music: Everything but country.

Favorite Super Hero: My son, changes characters every week.

Favorite Movie: Braveheart

Most Passionate about: Family, I have supportive wife who let's me workout and two great kids to spend free time with.

Goal at Crossfit Legacy: Under 11 hours for Ironman Lake Placid, July 2009

Family pet: Bernie, he's plaster. Looks almost real, no feeding, no cleaning, no messes.

Something not known about me: Thankful to have been blessed with good health, didn't start racing till 30, qualified and ran Boston Marathon two years latter. 3:08 best marathon time, goal to run sub 3:00. Thank you God.

Something not known about me: I’m afraid of heights, I have sung in church plays and school musicals and one talent show.


Riley is one of the strongest and most athletic 12 year olds I have ever worked with. She is consistent in her approach to working out and always......always give her best when she is at Crossfit Legacy!!!

New Athlete of the Week


The Crossfit Legacy Athlete of the Week is Terry. Terry has his own website that chronicles his weight-loss journey and training regimens.

It is a pleasure to have Terry in the gym 2x/week. He works hard and demonstrates excellent intensity each time he is there.

Goal at Crossfit Legacy: Retain and increase my functional strength and endurance as I fight against what time is trying to take away from me. I can't stop getting old but I will fight to the end against being old.

Occupation: Physical Therapist/Director, Inpatient Rehab Services

Favorite Book: I don't have a specific book but I enjoy cook books and cooking magazines! You're probably thinking, not a good choice when I'm trying to stay in the ZONE!

Favorite Food: Sushi

Favorite music: Tunes by my man, Eric Clapton!

Favorite Super Hero: I have great respect and admiration for all of the 2008 Olympic Athletes, their dedication and training to be the best!

Most passionate about: Making sure I do my best for all the patients that I care for each day.

Goal at Crossfit Legacy: Improve my body composition and strength, and to be as fit as I can be!

Family pet: Cat named Moki.

Something not known about me: As of this week, I've lived here in Ohio for 19 years and people still think I'm crazy for moving here from Hawaii!! Our family moving here from Hawaii is also growing!

Andrew--Athlete Profile for 8/4/08

We am proud to profile Andrew this week in our Athlete Profile...First and most important because of his choice to serve our country in the military, second because he is a tremendous athlete and always comes ready to work, even a day after he performs Tabata push-ups on the rings.

Occupation--2nd Lt in the USMC

Family Pet--Well, my Mom, bless her heart, is not a fan of household pets so all I was ever allowed were fish. But we haven't had them for 15 years and I don't see them anywhere in our future.
Something not known about me--I went canyoning in the Austrian Alps with two friends. What a rush.

Athlete Profile---Jean

Welcome to the Athlete Profile page for CrossFit Legacy. If this is your first time here, we like to highlight our athletes because of there effort in the gym or accomplishments over time.

I am proud to highlight Jean this week. I have been training her for a few months and in that time, she has had amazing results. She loves to laugh, smile, and have a great time while at the gym.



See below for some of her accomplishments:

Weight Loss: -24lbs

Push Press Max: 18lb max (3/6/08)
75lb max (7/3/08)

Deadlift: 65lb max in April 2008
135lb max in June 2008

From March to June:
Jean added 14lbs of muscle, and lost 22lbs of fat

Occupation: own a small antique shop
